Trigbush
I've got two in my collection - a white one just like my own 6 and a green one bought from the oracle otherwise known as Alec. Question whether there are any decent 1/18 scale models out there? Stallie suggests there is... Edited August 28, 2014 by Trigbush
grumpy2
Thanks gents The France one is green but that's ok I can paint it, the eBay White one similar - not keen on eBay though. Stiggy - what sort of price please?
jean
The ERTL 1/18 are great, I have 3 of them in red.. blue and BRG. 1/43 I got about 10 with and without hard top. I had one made in jasmine, the paint scheme of my TR6. The foto isn't too good www.derrezmodels.nl
Tom Boyd
Make me an offer young man I have no idea what they are fetching ! Tom
grumpy2
Wouldn't know where to start, the eBay one is £12, the French one is 6 euro. There's an eBay kit for £35 and a built kit fir £50. The higher prices are way more than I'd want to spend. If it's silly money I'd rather put it towards a set of leather seats. I'm not into collecting but I do have a 1/43 model of my Z4 and mini so a nice TR6 would be in good company. Gary
Tom Boyd
I will take pics of it tomorrow. It won't be silly price don't you worry Send me an email address and I will send pics, on phone so easier for me...... Tom

Trigbush
The ERTL 1/18 are great, I have 3 of them in red.. blue and BRG. 1/43 I got about 10 with and without hard top. I had one made in jasmine, the paint scheme of my TR6. The foto isn't too good www.derrezmodels.nl Thanks Jean for the post. I liked the Italia models on Derrezmodels.nl (Paul Harvey - have you seen that?). I could not find any TR6s on his website though...
jean
That's correct, I gave him a TR6, 1/43 model with hardtop and he did rebuild it to the specifications of my car. The paint was mixed according BL paint chart. I'm sure he can do it with any scale model. I also bought the Conrero from him, another nice model and he did it out of nothing, starting with wax base and shaping it around.
Paul Harvey
@Trigbush I have indeed seen the Derrez models of Italia which do seem rather good. Unfortunately they once produced a soft top version which prompted a misguided owner to chop the roof off a real one, which does seem rather bad. Worse still, and realising the error of his ways, he flogged it to a Brit who is still trying to work out how it all goes back together Edited September 1, 2014 by Paul Harvey

jean
Paul, it looks as good as the TR2 Francorchamps with the top chopped off. It looks like the owner changed his mind towards a convertible
Paul Harvey
Jean, Indeed. With every proper TR available only as a convertible, It seems mad now to convert the exceedingly rare coupe variants to the more common variety. However, taking a TR and inventing a new coupe version would have many possibilities! That most interesting TR6 shooting brake immediately springs to mind. jean
Yes Paul, it's a shame to sacrify a rare TR for any alternative solution and I think Italia's and Francorchamps should remain as they are. In 2001 I took a picture in Italy of an Italia that according to me had the best colour/paint scheme I have ever seen on an Italia. It's not original, but very nice. I think it was taken over from Lancia Flaminia in the 60th. Dark blue with dark green metallic changing at the cheat line half way up. Fanatastic point job. Unfortunately the picture does not bring it up fully. Edited September 6, 2014 by jean
Paul Harvey
Jean, That Italia is #54 owned by a guy in Vienna. I have a few pictures and they all look different - your description explains why.
PaulAA
Gary Sorry to be a late to the party, especially as you've already bought and no longer need guidance... I have two 1:43 models, both ostensibly Italian and both made in China, natch. Both cost the equivalent of GBP 25. The better of the two is by Detail Cars Platinum and has noticeably superior paintwork, brightwork and detailing than the other, by Edison Giocattoli. Which is unfortunate, because the EG car is in delft blue, as per the 1:1 scale version in the garage downstairs. Cheers Paul
