MikeHughes
Those TR Register members who are aware of the very sad accident that occurred at last weekends Silverstone Classic involving Denis Welch may not be aware that Denis won the first ever TR Register race championship round at Oulton Park back in 1984 in his Healey 3000. As we were not sure how many racing TR's would enter for the first season, we decided to invite the Big Healeys to compete alongside us to swell the numbers and Denis was the quickest Big Healey driver by a country mile. In fact I have never seen anyone drive a Big Healey like Denis did especially in the wet where his car control was awesome! A thoroughly nice guy and exceptional race driver. A very sad loss. MadMarx
I've got notice of this sad loss on Monday. This year so many racers died.
