TR4high port inlet manifold dimensions

Recommended Posts

I have a high port inlet manifold ( the one on the right of the attached diagram)

http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=11988

The new mikuni carbs I have bought have a gasket to suit the low port inlet manifold ( top left of the diagram)

Can anyone give me the dimensions across the inlet opening for each - are they the same size inlet opening?

And can anyone confirm the dimension for the fixing holes on both manifolds - are they the same centres?

Obviously I want to ascertain if the mounting gasket I have will fit the existing manifold before I pull it all down

Graze

You could order one of each of the gaskets for high and low port manifolds and take measurements off them or at least compare them to what you have for the Mikunis.

Not sure if this is what you need. In doubt just buy a piece of gasket and cut to dimension if requested.

Inlet has been rebored here. Part # 305 744

Just measured some carbs

The diagonal stud spacing of the HS6 is 3" or 77mm. (TR 1 3/4" SU carb same as Strongburb CD175 etc)

That is the same spacing as HS4 and HIF version of a 1 1/2"

Pete, Peter, Stephen

Thanks guys, it looks like the mounting gaskets will fit

I measure the approx centres of the studs on the strombergs as 54mm which equates to 76.4mm diagonally and the mounting gaskets Have slotted holes max 84mm to outsides

Thanks for the actual dimensions of the diagonal Peter
