trelfin4
Can anyone help the alloy support tube on my TR3a is broken in two pieces can it be welded? Failing this does any member have a replacment they would sell Thanks Keith
Ian Vincent
There's no reason why it shouldn't be welded, you just need to find a workshop with someone who can weld aluminium. Plus of course you need to be able to ensure that it is in the right shape before it is welded. Try a Google search for a decent engineering shop in your locality. Don H.
Somehow this isn't clicking for me. What's an alloy support tube for the front apron?
Don Elliott
Don H - It's the square aluminium tube that is curved and fitted across the top edge of the front valance (apron) and is bolted to the valance with long bolts and it's also secured to the body near where the Dzus fasteners are located.
