richard61
On checking the car after a superb run yesterday(Kendal, kirkby Lonsdale,Sedbergh,Kirby Stephen, Kelleth, Orton) I noticed a slight weep around the junction of the oil pressure gauge pipe and the block. I had nipped it up before the run, is there a torque setting? I do not want to over do it in my normal ham fisted way.
RobinTR6
Not sure if that's in the brown bible and am away so can't check. You sure its not the pipe to union leaking, mine is...I expect to replace it with a stainless hose from Revington. If the other goes in the cockpit you'll be staggered by how much oil will get into your dash and interior . There is a thread on here recently where this has happened......Whilst fiddling with my Mu I removed the engine end of the pipe, forgot to reconnect, started the car and within seconds most of the oil in the sump was in the engine bay, garage floor.... Steves_TR6
Indeed Robin..... It was me who suffered an internal oil bath! The revington SS pipe is very good value. Steve
