teegee
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone can help. I have an 81 TR7 due for its MOT, and have just been checking things and have discovered the main beam warning light doesn't work, and that it's now an MOT issue! Checked the bulb and that is OK, so where might the problem be? Thanks for any advice. teeegeee
DaveR
The plugs into printed circuit and the printed circuit itself can be a problem. 1/ So check the plugs are making contact with the printed circuit connections. 2/ Make sure the bulb holder and bulb are making contact with the printed circuit. 3/ Ensure you don't have a break in the printed circuit itself. teegee
Thanks for the advice. Took out the instrument panel and checked and cleaned all the connectors while it was out. Most bulb holders were the twist-in type, but the main beam warning light one was different. It was the sort with two metal connectors sticking out of the back and wires connected to those. In fact the problem was that the bulb holder itself was faulty. Regards.
