Dave Gleed sold me one of these over 30 years ago- he told me it was from a "works" car of some sort - could have been a Le Mans one....

I have it still on my TR4 and its in perfect working order.

Doubt that I shall ever see it recording that speed specially with the 4.1 :1 diff my car has. Main beam indicator included, but no ignition lamp of course.

Had a thought - possibly from TR6?

It seems to checkout: There are dashboard pictures in my book "Original Triumph TR4/4A/5/6". Squinting a bit, these seem to show the TR6 has a 140MPH speedo.

In some the scale is grey from 130 to 140 and in others is white all round.

interesting that it breaks with the continuous (TR2 thru TR6) convention of RPM's matching MPH w/regards to needle angle in fourth gear no o/d. Wonder if this was in optimistic anticipation of a production run of super fast Sabrina engined TR's? Or leftovers from Italia production? Or Maserati w/o the trident?

It'd be interesting to hear what the final say on these are.
