TR Register Shropshire Group Summer Tour 2018
The 2018 Tour will be to North Devon where we will stay at The Park Hotel in Barnstaple, a recently refurbished four star hotel - see https://parkhotel.co.uk . Full details are attached. The hotel is close to the centre of Barnstaple so it will be possible to walk around the town.
Roger Critchley will be organising this tour without using a commercial tour firm. The result of this is a saving of just under £200 per couple but we will not have a fancy booklet. However, Roger will provide comprehensive route instructions etc. and these will be provided in due course.
The Park are holding 15 standard double rooms and 2 standard single rooms for us but I do need to confirm these as soon as possible. A deposit of £50 per person is required and Roger would be grateful if you let him have this when advising him of your booking. He is arranging with the hotel for you to pay the balance and anything charged to your room directly to the hotel. It may be possible for you to upgrade your room but Roger suggests that you ask that you contact the hotel about this.
You will see that Roger have booked four nights at The Park. The reason for this is that the run down to North Devon will be an integral part of the tour as will be the return run. This means that you don't need to arrange your own accommodation before the start of the tour.
Accommodation will be half board ie Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. The dinner will be three courses with choices for each course which will be pre-ordered each morning. If you have any dietary requirements, would you please advise the hotel.
