A fabulous National Trust owned mid 18thC Neo-Palladian mansion set in delightful parkland with views towards the Malverns. Capability Brown was responsible for the design of the house as well as the grounds with Croome being his first major commission.

A bespoke tour of the house including a hard-hat tour of the Red Wing has been arranged for 11.00am but we will need to confirm numbers and pay in advance for this. There is a £5 per head charge for everybody including NT members and payment has to be made via Martin by 10th March. Alternatively normal tours of the house are included in the general entry charges or the house can be seen at you leisure but not including access to the Red Wing.

There are a number of interesting buildings around the park including St. Mary Magdalene Church plus the RAF Defford Museum. The walled garden is not National Trust owned but can be visited at a charge of £5 per head.

Non-Members can enjoy discounted group admission at £10 rather than the usual £12.60 but this also needs to be paid in advance via Martin.

Bring a picnic or alternatively there is both a café and good restaurant on site, the latter serving excellent Sunday Lunches but cannot be booked in advance and they may be very busy.

Scenic drive up and later return via a Cotswold route.
