For our final event of 2017, we'll be based in the Historic town of Monmouth. Here's the plan.....we'll meet in Monmouth at the Old Cattle Market car park at 10am. (I don't think there's a charge on Sunday)
We'll meet a town Ambassador who'll take us on a walk through town, chatting about points of interest as we go. We'll stop at the Punch House Inn for coffee, then make our way over to the Shire Hall for a tour, taking in the Court room where the infamous Chartist trials took place. There'll be time to look around independently after the talk & tour. The cost is £3pp for the complete tour.
We'll make our way back to the cars by around 1.30, and set off for the Stonemill Restaurant at Rockfield, just a few miles out of Monmouth on the B4233, aiming to be settled in by 2pm. Sunday lunch here is £19.50 for 2 courses, and £21.50 for 3 courses. Information at www.thestonemill.co.uk
If you're planning to join us, it's essential to let me know well in advance so I can book the correct numbers for the meal - see the contact details below.
Looking forward to a good turnout,
