TR Register Shropshire Group Autumn Run

Autumn brings with it a riot of leaf colour ranging from deep butter yellow through to orange, red and crimson as well as an abundance of berries.

This year we will enjoy the display at Bodenham Arboretum (see: www.bodenham-arboretum.co.uk) where hundreds of trees put on an autumn display that is perhaps the most spectacular in the area. The Acers will go from bright yellow to vibrant oranges and reds. Scarlet Oaks will, as their name suggests, fill the woods with sweeps of vibrant red, even Magnolia with its bright red seed pods add to the spectacle.

We will meet at Salop Leisure, Emstrey, Shrewsbury, SY5 6QS – just off the A5 Shrewsbury Bypass on the B4380 - at 10:00am for a prompt 10:30 am start. Don't forget that the clocks will have changed backwards by 1 hour on the night before.

The route will take us to Bodenham Arboretum, Wolverley, Kidderminster, DY11 5TB, where we will stop for refreshments and to admire the Autumn colours.

Lunch will be at The Plume of Feathers, Harley Bank, Much Wenlock, SY5 6LP. They do have a choice of roasts available. A menu will be distributed before the start of the run to enable you to pre-order.
