Lincs Group November Run
Our last run of the season organised by Julia and Tim. Meeting at Doddington Hall Café, LN6 4RU, which will be open from 10 AM.
Convoy will leave at 11 AM for a run which crosses over from Lincolnshire to Nottinghamshire and takes in the pretty estate roads of Clumber Park. Approximately 45 miles.
Lunch at The Dovecote Inn, Cross Hill, Laxton, NG22 0SX
Laxton is famous for continuing the system of open field farming and there is a small exhibition in one of the outbuildings at the pub. Entrance FOC, donations welcome.
After lunch, and with weather permitting, for those interested there is a short walk from the pub car park to a motte and bailey castle which dates from the late 11th or early 12th centuries. Sturdy footwear required.
