'Cruinneachadh Nan Alba' at the Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival Meeting
Long standing members of the Register will recall the first TR Register Scottish Weekend was held in 1982 at the September Doune Hill Climb when some 15 TR's gathered in the paddock area. In the space of a few short years the event morphed into the Doune Classic Weekend which regularly attracted approaching 500-entrants from over 30 different car clubs, with the TR Register maintaining it's position a leading club with an average of over 40+ TR's from all parts of the UK and beyond.
Well in 2015, the TR Register Scottish Weekend will return once again and as in years gone by there will be a programme of activities which entrants may participate in as they wish. Access to the TR Register club stand, Saturday Convoy Drive, an optional Saturday night group meal (at a cost of £28.00 per person for three courses), Car of the Day competition plus two full days of competitive motorsport in the form of the Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival meeting. This year will see at least 8 TR's competing in a specific TR Class sponsored by the TR Register. The TR Register has also been invited to participate at the prestigious 'Holyroodpalace Concours' event, this would be as individuals and full entry details are available upon request. In addition to the TR Register 'Car of the Day' competition, entrants are also eligible to take part in the Bo'ness Car of the Day competition, again entry details are available upon request.
All in all it is hoped there are sufficient activities to interest Scottish TR Register members, with this year's event seen as a precursor to more ambitious plans for future years and to re-establish the TR Register as a leading club in Scotland.
The £10.00 entry fee per TR, including 2-occupants, is to cover expenses incurred and is a blanket charge for the whole weekend or any part thereof. The entry fee also includes access to all facets of the Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival meeting.
