TR4 at 50
As a major part of the weekend we will be celebrating 50 years of the TR4
There will be a small display of cars in the concours hall throughout the weekend but the main arena event will take place on the Sunday afternoon where the owners of some very special TR4s will be showing them off. We hope to get at least fifty TR4s into the arena.
We will also have:
- Display boards with posters, photos and sales brochures etc
- Display cases with memorabilia, scale models
- TR4s built in 1961 (i.e. up to commission number CT 2648).
- The VC works rally cars
- Replica works rally cars
- Other interesting TR4s
- Derivatives – primarily Doves
- Development history - photographs showing what I call “the road to the TR4” - the design studies and prototypes proposed and rejected before Michelotti’s design was approved.
