40yrs of the TR Register Concours

The TR Register Concours has been running almost since day one, and like most other things in the TR Register has slowly evolved over the last 40 years to the competition we have today.

From the early days there have been “standard “and “Non standard” classes. The standard classes benchmark is now based on the original showroom condition in other words a car will be judged on condition and cleanliness of its overall assembly, finishes fittings and accessories against the original manufactured and dealer supplied standards. Non standard TRs are judged on condition and cleanliness only. The Master class is for the previous years class winners normally its one of these cars which walks off with the car of the show trophy.

I introduced the Pride of Ownership in 2002 my aim has always been on “use” and with making system giving cars with high proven annual mileage an advantage this element of the weekend has proved very popular . The cars are judged topside only- (as you would see them on the street) and most importantly on presentation and cleanliness, condition is not taken into account.

Every entered car is graded and awarded either a Gold Silver or Bronze medal plus the class winners pick up a trophy which they can take home for the year plus a commemorative shield to keep. To be eligible for the medals and trophies entered cars must be in position for judging 3 to 6 Saturday and then between 10am to 3pm Sunday.
