Bulletin Five - June 2010

As of today we are “T” minus 20days, that is the time we have until we must load SRW into the trailer and begin the journey South. We had a final run out on the Silverstone GP circuit at the weekend and managed to break the generator causing me to watch the race with the marshalls (and what a great bunch of guys they were!)

The car is now back at TREnterprises for a new generator and a full pre-race check, we had always planned to give ourselves the best part of a month between the two races to ensure that we could sort out issues without looking at the clock.

We are travelling overnight from Portsmouth and am looking forward to meeting up with the “TR Army” that is looking to support both our own and Mark Hobles entry.

We asked the CLM organisers if we could race under our Sebring number of 33, and they kindly gave us No.57!!, yes you are correct in your assumption that No.33 has been allocated to a FRENCH car.

We are conscious that the CLM event is an expensive event for both spectators and racers alike, Rod and I as well as our wives will be in the 3 plateau paddock with our support guys from TRE to meet up with Register members and hope that you will drop by and spend time with us.

Safe journeys to you all and I hope that you enjoy the best British race that there is Classic Le Mans 2010.

SRW 992 - Carpe Diem - June 2010

Track laps will take place in Session Two on the Saturday. Cars need to gather at Tertre Rouge at 8.00 a.m. and TR Register cars will be running with those of TSSC.

The session lasts approx 20 minutes - leaving time for the completion of three laps (so we are told). Note: The race officials can cancel any track lap session at any time & there are no refunds available.

ex-works Sebring TR3 SRW992

The ex Works Sebring TR3 SRW992 has applied for a place in the CLM 2010; the drivers will be Stephen Skinner and Rod Begbie (who will be leaving the "dark side" as he is currently a TVR Grantura Mk3 driver).

The car will be displayed on the TR Register stand at the Classic Car Show at the NEC in November.

Mark Hoble PDU 222

Mark Hoble enters PDU 222 for CLM2010

Mark Hoble who drove brilliantly in 2008 to win his class with his TR2 PDU 222 has submitted his entry to defend his win in 2010. See link to the forum here...

Entrance has to be confirmed by the ACO who could hardly refuse last years class winner. This is excellent news for all TR fans. Mark has promised to keep us posted.
